Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance

We hope that you are already enjoying this holiday season. Here at Datarealm, we are not resting and we are extremely excited about extensive upgrades that we have set into motion. No area of service will be left untouched as we move and reorganize our equipment in our Phoenix datacenters to allow for upgraded power to all of our racks, a new core networking infrastructure, and new Internet connectivity from 4 of the top Tier 1 providers in the US. Aside from increased speed and reliability, this will also pave the way for a new array of services such as a high density Datarealm cloud! In order to complete these upgrades, in the coming weeks we will have rolling outages during our maintenance windows from midnight - 6am. At this time, this is a general announcement. We do not have specific schedules on which services will be shutdown at which dates. As those schedules are put into place, we will notify clients directly of their scheduled maintenance. Each of our services will experience a single outage as we perform these upgrades, and should last no longer than 2 - 3 hours. Once the power and infrastructure upgrades affecting your server/cabinet have taken place, there will be no further outages regarding these upgrades. During the time of your outage, email will be queued on the sending mail servers and redelivered when service is restored. As of December 1st 2010, the domain name 'serve.com' is going away. Any web address, email address or server name with the 'serve.com' will need to up updated to reflect 'datarealm.com' Here is a check list of items that may effect your service here (beginning with the most important) : 1) If your website appears to have gone down, you must check with your registrar to make sure you are listing our NEW name servers - ns1.datarealm.com ns2.datarealm.com ns3.datarealm.com If you are not sure who your registrar is, you can do a 'whois' look up here - http://www.internic.net/whois.html 2) If you can no longer send email, note that our SMTP (outgoing) server has changed. It is now smtp2.datarealm.com. If you have not already done so, you will need to update this server name in your Email program's settings. If you use your ISP's SMTP server to send mail, you will not need to change anything. 3) If you use Webmail, you should now go to https://webmail.datarealm.com 4) If you upload new files via FTP, please note our FTP server is now ftp.datarealm.com 5) You can still access the administrative control panel we provide by going to http://www.your_domain.com OR you can use this address - http://www.datarealm.com/admin 6) To see your bills or mange your credit card you'll now need to go here - https://www.datarealm.com/clients/ 7) Our home page is now http://www.datarealm.com. If we did not register your domain name for you, please remember to update your domains' name servers before December 1st. Our new name servers are: ns1.datarealm.com ns2.datarealm.com ns3.datarealm.com Please remove any reference to 'serve.com' from your current list of name servers. Read more » | |
